Can you describe how you do that? (Oven temp?). I can’t stand that uncooked floury taste too so I would love to try this!

It gets rid of any “floury” uncooked taste. If you’ve got an extra ten minutes, give it a try!

Unseasoned oats?

I would never have imagined that. The recipe writers include them for obvious reasons. Are there seasonings other than cinnamon that would be could used to boost the flavor if the small amounts of sugar and salt were removed?

It really just comes down to your flavor and diet preferences, but this recipe is really customizable! If you’re used to sweetening with honey, maple, or agave, you’re welcome to swap the brown sugar for those. We tried to keep the base recipe really approachable and budget-friendly, and using brown sugar and milk (which most people already have) is a great way to do that. But, yes, those adding greek yogurt are likely doing so for the protein-factor, and it is certainly a great addition if that’s something that’s usually in your grocery cart!

As long as you’re okay with the taste then that’s fine!

Would that be an issue for these overnight cold oats? Or will it just affect the taste (and since I’m used to no milk, that shouldn’t bother me…)

My question is: the recipe I have been using calls for greek yogurt (I suspect for added protein), as well as honey to sweeten. What difference do you think omitting these ingredients would make?

A pint jar is fine!

Will the extra air in the jar affect anything?
